Stage 2 Physical Education Seminar Term 1, Week 8: Monday 16th March 2026

Aimed at all SACE Stage 2 PE teachers, from early career to experienced.
A must to enhance your Stage 2 PE program. This seminar is an ideal way to collaboratively plan your program.
Elevate your teaching practice at the ACHPER SA Stage 2 Physical Education seminar . Led by highly regarded teachers Katie Liebelt and Andrew Mittiga, along with a team of expert Stage 2 educators, this seminar is designed to provide South Australian teachers with the tools, clarity, and community needed to excel in the current SACE landscape.
This interactive session offers a deep dive into successful program design, allowing delegates to review, plan, and enhance their existing curriculum alongside the state's leading PE minds.
What to Expect
The workshop is structured into three core pillars of professional development:
- SACE Renewal & Resource Insights: Stay ahead of the curve with the latest Stage 1 & 2 SACE PE Renewal updates. We also introduce the 2026 ACHPER SA Educator Resource Network, a vital toolkit for the modern PE department.
- Evidence-Based Task Design: Participate in a hands-on seminar focused on creating high-quality assessment tasks. We unpack exactly what is required within a task to ensure students can authentically meet and exceed the SACE Performance Standards.
- Live Calibration: Gain confidence in your grading through live calibration sessions using exemplar tasks. This collaborative environment allows you to align your marking standards with expert practitioners to ensure consistency and fairness.
- Strategic Planning & Networking: Connect with colleagues from similar school contexts to share challenges, solve problems, and co-plan. This is a dedicated space to refine your Learning Assessment Programs (LAPs) and build lasting professional networks.
Preparation for the Day
To ensure a highly practical and tailored experience, all participants are encouraged to bring their current assessment tasks and LAPs. This allows for real-time feedback and immediate application of the day’s insights to your own teaching context.

Preparing for AT3

This webinar will support teachers to plan for effective learning and assessment in AT3. There will be opportunities to consider, discuss and design learning experiences, scaffolds and other support materials that can be used to facilitate the successful completion of an AT3 Portfolio as the formative preparation for the Analysis and Evaluation. Features of a successful Analysis and Evaluation will be examined and provide a foundation for the "The Specific Features” webinar.
The Specific Features

What does success look like? This session will look deeply at the requirements of each specific feature. Participants will be guided through activities to explore what "A Level" evidence might look like. Time will be allowed for discussion in small discussion groups.
